SintecMedia is pleased to announce that Charter Communications is now live with Nestor! Charter completed its acquisition of Bright House Networks (BHN) and merger with Time Warner Cable (TWC) in May of this year, to become the second largest Cable TV Operator in the United States with over 16 million subscribers. Charter is now using Nestor to process an annualized total of $9B in linear programming expenses.
The complex project involved migrating and merging data from three separate operators while retaining TWC and BHN’s historical data for adjustments and reporting. Charter is using Nestor to manage pay-tv subscribers, channel lineups, programming contract terms, expense and related accounting information to interface with financial systems.
In addition to Nestor Linear, we have concurrently worked on the implementation of Nestor Transactional to manage PPV/VOD transactional buys and royalty expenses and Nestor Budget to manage programming budgets and forecasts. Both of these modules are on target to go live by end of 2016.
